About Education

Our seasonal teaching schedule (Spring and Fall) is created in collaboration with school teachers taking into account the timing of classroom instruction, relevancy of content and activities for 1st-4th grade students, and the opportunities presented outside with zone 6 gardens and changing seasons in a forest habitat.

To maximize time invested in outdoor learning, our lessons are aligned with academic standards by subject and grade level.  Topics include science, math, social studies, language arts and health.

“A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness. It teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust” – Gertrude Jekyll
